Britain for Europe is the national organisation formed by over 50 grassroots campaign groups around the country, dedicated to keeping the United Kingdom in the European Union. You can find your nearest local group here. Our groups are responsible for organising their own events, including street stalls, meetings, public meetings, speaker events, social events, marches, rallies.
These events often form part of a National Action Day, held in partnership with other national pro-european organisations. The next action day will be on Saturday April 14th, and you can filter the events to show only those that will be happening on that day by clicking here.
Please check below for a list of all events near you, including action day events and non-campaign events.
Public Panel Event: Brexit Impacts in the Oxford Region
Organized by Oxford for Europe, in association with the European Movement (UK) Oxford Region, and with Oxford European Association
Oxford Town Hall, St Aldate's, Oxford OX1 1BX - Friday April 27th, 7:30pm to 9:15pm
Admission free – donations welcomed - please register here.
We now know that the 'Brexit dividend' will be negative; if it is allowed to go ahead, Brexit will cost us, in many ways and for many years. This event seeks to review these costs for our own area.
This event will bring together evidence, testimony and debate on how Brexit is already impacting on lives, economy and society in the Oxford region, what further impacts we can expect if Brexit is allowed to proceed, in its various possible versions, and what we can do about it.
We are bringing together panellists and witnesses who can report and testify on the impacts of Brexit on the lives, careers, relationships and rights of European citizens and their families, on our NHS and social care, on business and industry from SMEs to BMW, on our region's universities, research and tech sectors, and on the worlds of the arts, culture and creative industries.
Brexit can be stopped if a clear public will is expressed to demand a vote on the terms. Our aim through this event is to provide a platform for those who wish to speak out urgently about what they now know Brexit will mean for us.
If you would like to contribute testimony in this discussion from your own experience and knowledge, or ask a question, please email Oxford for Europe.

On May 13th 2018, join Greenwich for Europe and Lewisham East for Europe at their second annual Europe Day picnic, being held in collaboration with European Movement City & East branch.
Europe Day is an annual celebration of peace and unity across the EU and, given the divisions caused by the referendum, this event aims to counter that with a sign of coming together to remember the positive aspects of EU membership. The day itself is on May 9th but as this is a weekday the picnic will be held on the 13th, which is the first Sunday following the day.
Bake cakes, bring food, bring drink, bring games, bring flags, bring music, bring your friends and family, bring your pets, bring EU-themed things, and let's have a great day!
This is the flagship in a series of grassroots-led events being organised around the country to mark Europe Day, in collaboration with a number of national partners, following on from the success of the initiative in 2017. Further information about the initiative can be found at www.europeday.org.uk
